Life can be hard, make things feel a little better by creating your own emotional support chicken! You'll learn to use short rows to help shape your knitted fabric. First developed in 1997 and originally published on Etsy in 2003, over 11,000 crafters have posted their own emotional support chickens on Ravelry and the pattern we will be using from The Knitting Tree has been purchased over 25,000 times! Prerequisite Techniques: knit stitch, binding off Techniques Covered: cable cast on, short rows in garter stitch, increasing and decreasing stitches Materials Needed: 200 yards of worsted weight yarn for main color, 100 yards of worsted weight yarn in contrast color, 4 yards yellow worsted weight yarn, 6 yards red worsted weight yarn, Size 7 knitting needles, 1 pair 15mm safety eyes, removeable stitch markers, tapestry needle, 250 grams or more of polyfill style stuffing We'll have yarn kits available for purchase at the shop if you don't have the yarn you need, or if you just want an excuse to buy more yarn!
